Just curious, I think this part of the forum can help us get to know each other a little more and learn things as well. If you are comfortable with talking about your current line of work, feel free to do so and discuss!
Currently, I am working as a Garden Center Associate @ one of my local Walmarts. I'm usually a cashier on most days, but I do a lot of SA work as well during our downtimes. I really like my job most days, but I feel I've gotten kind of burnt out on the entire customer service thing as a whole. I worked at Steak 'N Shake previously as a waitress and I am just tired of CS jobs! I've been at walmart for almost a year (this august) - but I'm trying to stick it out through the rest of college...
Where do you guys work? Do you like it? Rant about it why don't ya!

I know how you feel. I'm pretty much in the same situation. I was without work for a year before this one, I keep telling myself that I should be thankful, and I am, but you know how that is! It's hard, especially when it's just one of those days you wanna snap a customers neck off, or someone you work with! LOL

gee, my résumé is such a mess. After I've finished school I've started an apprenticeship as a media designer, but the company I worked at was really crappy. It was a tiny copy shop and I was just their cheap labour, so I don't work there anymore. Now I try to find a new apprenticeship, but it's hard to find a job here.

I know how you feel. I have such gaps in my work history too, because it's so hard to come by a job here in my area too. I guess it's wrong of me to complain about my job, when I should be glad that I have one, but I guess it's kind of inevitable to find things you completely despise about your job, regardless...in some way or another. I hope you're able to find a place soon. It took me like 2 years to finally get a call from someone! It's definitely hard out there these days. It sucks.

yep it's really hard to say about a job "I'm 100% satisfied with it", but maybe you'll find somethin better in the future, who knows? I kinda have this feeling that it was a good thing that my apprenticeship sucked so back, because when I look back on it, it wouldn't have been my thing anyways. As I like to say, everything happens for a reason
